Analytical and Conceptual Services for Strategic
Decision-Making in Research, Development and Innovation

Project Activities

Research and Innovation Systems

The main outcome of this activity is the systematic use of strategic intelligence capacities for the purpose of making informed strategic decisions for the implementation and updating of the National R&D&I Policy of the Czech Republic, development of technology transfer, commercialization of R&D&I results, evaluation of research organizations, large research infrastructures, research and innovation specialization and technological development.

Technology, Society and Smart Specialization

The development and integration of horizon scanning, strategic foresight and technology assessment methods produces comprehensive and integral outputs for strategic planning and decision-making and enables a better understanding of the future opportunities and risks of new technologies and the expected impacts of development trends.

People and Science

The quality of research and its results depends mainly on the quality of R&D&I professionals, an important aspect of which is the attractiveness of a career in this field and its differences in the private and public sectors. Attention is also paid to the internationalisation of higher education. Another priority area is gender equality policy in higher education, research and innovation, creating new requirements for the analysis of existing measures.

R&D&I Professional Community

Creating an open community for expert discussion of topical issues is an important prerequisite for reflecting different views and opinions in providing strategic intelligence for R&D&I policy making. Our aim is to link and systematically anchor the still relatively fragmented activity in the field of strategic intelligence for R&D&I policy and to strengthen communication and cooperation between departments from academia and public administration.

The Strategic Intelligence for Research and Innovation (STRATIN+) project is supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (project code MS25001)
