On 29 May 2025, the sixth annual SCI-PO conference took place at the fully booked TC Prague conference centre, this year focusing on the key issue of sustainable financing for research, development and innovation in the Czech Republic after 2027. Discussions between representatives of academia, government, business and the non-profit sector highlighted the importance of linking science and politics, with the discussions concluding that future success requires a focus on selectivity and prioritisation of areas in which the Czech Republic can truly excel, while also strengthening the motivation to transfer research results into practice.

New Ergo is dedicated to knowledge transfer and digital technologies
The first article of the new issue of Ergo magazine analyzes the commercialization of research and development results in four sectors of research organizations and is based on publicly available data and the results of its own questionnaire survey. The second article names digital technologies, their use can solve major societal challenges. The results show in particular a significant increase in publication and patenting in the areas of artificial intelligence.
